As Florida gears up for the 2024 hurricane season, residents are reminded of the importance of preparation to mitigate the risks posed by severe storms. Orange County Government and the Office of Emergency Management are hosting the 2024 Hurricane Expo on Saturday, June 15, at Evans High School from 9 AM to 1 PM. The theme for this year’s event is "Beyond the Forecast."
Event Highlights:

  • Date and Time: Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 9 AM to 1 PM (Information sessions start at 9:30 AM)
  • Location: Evans High School Gymnasium, 4949 Silver Star Road, Orlando, FL 32808
  • Activities: One-on-one meetings with emergency responders and safety vendors, safety tips for surviving hurricanes, hurricane predictions by meteorologist Amy Sweezey, and free preparedness items (while supplies last).
