PepsiCo and Yara Partner to Decarbonize EU and UK Agriculture
PepsiCo Europe has announced a new long-term partnership with crop nutrition company Yara to help decarbonize the food value chain in the EU and UK. The collaboration aims to provide farms with low-carbon fertilizers, crop nutrition programs, and digital tools to support sustainable agricultural practices and align with EU sustainability goals. The initiative targets around 1,000 farms and 128,000 hectares and is part of PepsiCo’s broader “pep+” sustainability agenda, which seeks to achieve net zero emissions by 2040. Yara will supply up to 165,000 tons of low-carbon fertilizers annually, starting with potato farms and expanding to other crops like oats and corn.
