SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Gaylord confirmed that an EF-1 tornado swept through northern Gladwin County on Saturday afternoon, covering a 10.3-mile path and causing sporadic damage. With maximum winds of 90 mph, the tornado began near Lake Lancer at 4:05 PM and ended in Bourret Township at 4:27 PM, crossing the Tittabawassee River. This is Michigan’s 10th tornado and the 2nd in Mid-Michigan for 2024.
