Tropical Storm Beryl Strengthens on Path to Texas Coast

Tropical Storm Beryl is intensifying as it travels over the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to become a hurricane again by late Sunday as it approaches the Texas coast. Having already caused significant damage in Grenada, Jamaica, and the Yucatán Peninsula, Beryl is predicted to make landfall near Matagorda, Texas, just before dawn on Monday as a strong Category 1 hurricane, gaining strength until it moves inland.
